Lermas

1602 Zarzamora & Culebra
The historical landmark, Lermas, is indeed a club you don't
want to miss if you are in San Antonio. The pulse of traditional conjunto
music is still alive and well after so many years in operation. The likes
of Santiago Jimenez Sr., Narciso Martinez, Ruben Naranjo, Tony De La Rosa,
Bene Medina, Amadeo Flores, Salvador Garcia (Los Pavo Reales), Ramz Guerrero,
Angel Flores, and Flaco Jimenez to name a few, have all performed at this
very spot in the west side of San Antonio. As Steve Stacey puts it, it
is the place that time forgot.
