Polkas, Gritos y Acordeones (Tejano/Conjunto)
----------------------------------------
“Polkas, Gritos y Acordeónes” is the aptly-titled new CD which features three of Tejano music’s most accomplished and acclaimed acordeonistas: David Lee Garza (from Los Musicales fame), Joel Guzmán (who played and recorded with Little Joe, Ram Herrera, and a virtual list of who’s who in Tejano music), and Sunny Sauceda (de Grupo Vida, the young gun of the group).

Produced by Joel Guzmán for Guzmán Fox Records, and recorded at Gilbert Velasquez’ V Music Studio in San Antonio, Texas in a rapid-fire three-day session in July of 2004, this 10-cut compilation of six classic instrumental medleys and melodies, and four canciones rancheras, is a tribute to Tejano Americana and some of conjunto music’s great accordionists, including Narciso Martínez, Pedro Ayala, Paulino Bernal, Tony de la Rosa, Esteban Jordán, and others.
